1. Set up a Death Watch International society in your local community, workplace or university
2. Encourage members to sign up to the Death Watch International campaign and monthly updates - and if you are in a country which retains the death penalty, write to your local government representatives
3. Organise poster / flyer campaigns to promote Death Watch International (see below)
4. Organise meetings to respond to our monthly Bin It! campaign and latest Amnesty International action alerts (as detailed in our monthly updates)
5. Organise open meetings featuring talks / debates / films about the death penalty
6. Use posters and set up a group on Facebook to promote the society and its meetings (see our Facebook group as an example)
7. Let us know about your society so we can help promote it

For people on death row, letters from the outside world can provide a real lifeline - and many death row prisoners have no contact with anyone beyond the prison walls.

A number of organisations work to put people in touch with people on death row around the world. Some provide public details of prisoners who can be contacted directly. Others hold private lists and ask you to contact them if you wish to be put in touch with someone.
